I was trying to figure out what should I write when I saw JayDeck's comment on one of my hub. He asked how can one monetize his or her blog.

Let me start with the basic knowledge of writing a blog. Writing a blog takes not only dedication but also consistency and also quality articles. A blog can be the main place you write an article and it could very well be a place to drive traffic to your other articles on different websites. Depending on what is your main idea, I would be happy to explain to you some ways you can easily monetize your blog regardless what plan you got for your blog.

We all know that only with quality content, readers will be back for more. It is always hard to get readers and followers but it is never hard. There are a few basic rules you have to follow whenever you are writing an article.

• Focus on quality writing and make sure the facts are correct
• Ensure grammer is checked
• Article must be at least 400 words
• Choose a good and spefic topic name
• Keyword and tags must be used correctly
• Marketing the article

One of the best way to earn money is by using the right ad program for your blog. If you would find using Google, you can basically find 101 ways to earn money with blog. I would say the easiest is to have ads placed on your blogs for some nice side income. Of course, ensure that your ads are limited as too much advertising on your blog can be harmful for you in return.

A few great advertising sites I could recommend are as below:

As you can see above, you can basically place Google Adsense in nearly every blog you have but when it comes to other ad programs, it is best if you only place ads that are relevant towards your traffic. I am not going to lie here. This is the hardest part but could easily increase your earning with additional one or two zero's at the back (if you get what I mean). Unline the above monetization methods, affiliation and referral programs are long term 'investment'. Why are they investment? Let's put it this way. I always consider getting referrals are a Multi Level Marketing (MLM) but with only one tier at least.

As you see, most affiliation or referral programs allow the referer to earn a certain percentage of the earning for a said time period. Of course, there are referral programs that even offer life time referral earnings. Because of this, you have the chance to actually boost your earning with some hardwork of course. You could easily detect mistakes that could rate your article down if you are not careful. We are all human and mistakes are prone to happen. However, we have to be sure that we are able to rectify the mistakes to provide a much richer content. Rushing to finish an article is not a good way to monetize your blog.

Choosing the right title, keywords and tags will determine your ranking in search engines. With a good title and right keywords, you can easily get indexed on the first page of Google! Many people actually believe that since there are so many competitions around, it would be best to create an article with a catchy article. If you are saying this two years back, then yes you are right. However, in the current moment now, sometimes it is easier to get indexed using simple and straight to the point keywords.

In short, there are many ways one can easily monetize their blog or website. However, it would depends on youe will power and determination on how far you would want to go in earning money through your blog. You will always start by pennies and then to a few cents and finally, heading towards the dollar sign. Never give up as writing is one way which you can easily earn money with.
